Hard Armor/Articulating Block Installation

There are several different techniques and products used in permanent revetment stabilization systems. We use a variety of interlocking concrete blocks and gabion structures to add superior protection from shoreline erosion. Each system is designed with both aesthetics and hydraulic flow rates in mind. Whether you are building an upscale golf course or a protective levee system, NEW LINE has the ability to install the proper armor for your project.

Petraflex® mattresses are placed on geotextile fabric to provide permeability.  The interlocking units and two-way corrosion resistant cables allow the system to articulate with unequaled strength and stability, which is critical on channel bends or curves where angle or wedge mattresses are used. Geolink™ high-strength concrete units are hand placed in dry bed applications and then locked together to provide long-term structural performance.

Armortec’s Armorflex® mats consist of machine compressed cellular concrete blocks of a unique interlocking shape that is made up into mats for easy on-site handling. The blocks—open- and closed-cell—are cabled longitudinally by means of galvanized steel aircraft or polyester cables. Armorflex mats are factory made and assembled with sophisticated, purpose-built machinery for consistent quality and economic production.

Armortec’s A-Jacks® Bank Revetments are cost-effective concrete armor units assembled into a highly permeable, interlocking matrix. The voids in the matrix are filled with soil and provide a stable base to support woody vegetation above the normal stream base flow. The A-Jacks solution is effective and easy for crews to manage on-site.
